This was my entry for the latest CG Society challenge (first one I've entered).
The theme was "Armed & Dangerous" and had to be sculpted and textured using Mudbox. The base models and rendering could be done using any software. I used 3ds max 2012 and Photoshop in addition to Mudbox. It was rendered using mental ray.
I didn't win, but I did get the "Featured Honorable Mention".... not sure if that's akin to 4th place or what, but either way, I won a WACOM Intuos4 - pretty cool. The caliber of the entries are always high, so I was really happy!
I did use some photo references for some things like the goggles, tanks and guns.
Anyway, can't wait for the next one!

that's a hell of a good job you did.
I had trouble keeping him looking young. Without the goggles he looked like a kid but for some reason with the goggles on it was a little less clear....but I thought the goggles made him look more hilarious so they stayed.
